Whether your property needs a new landscape or just some areas reworked we can help with design, soil, planting plans, mulches and even organize woodwork, and irrigation/water catchment to keep your plants hydrated. We can also provide ongoing improvements over time as this approach is sometimes more practical if you have a large rural property. 

Jodi's designs are digital hand drawings based on photos of your existing landscape. This allows full creativity to imagine how your space can be transformed and gives you a clear idea of how your garden will look. We love taking your blank slate outdoor space or tired old garden and turning it into something you will love to spend time in for years to come.

We provide ongoing maintenance for the gardens we install and also offer garden renovations done in stages to rework old tired gardens. Saltspring properties are large and we understand that renovating a whole landscape at once isn't always practical. We can provide ongoing improvements, plant installations, soil/mulches and maintenance during our ongoing visits.

We partner with Gulf Islands Irrigation on many projects. They install new drip irrigation systems, retrofit old systems and provide ongoing servicing of your system. They also install rainwater catchment systems for households, irrigation, and fire suppression. Hiring contractors that work well together streamlines your garden installation and saves time and money.

On Saltspring our lawns are usually brown in summer as water is scarce. We don't waste water on lawns. We offer regular lawn maintenance and stringline trimming during the spring and fall alongside our other services for our ongoing clients. We don't currently offer lawn work as a standalone service.

Gardens need all kinds of carpentry from gates and entryways to raised beds, boardwalks, pergolas, gazebos, and sheds. Deer fencing can be made into beautiful entryways with the right design. Raised beds can add a beautiful element to your garden, instead of simply being utilitarian. We partner with Keeha Wood Co for all things custom woodwork in our designs. 

On Saltspring water is a precious resource. If your property has limited water we reccomend our friends at Rainwater Connection: a design/build company that specializes in rainwater harvesting and the combination of rainwater with piped or well water. They can custom design potable or non potable systems to suit the needs of you and your environment.

The windy coastal environment of the Gulf Islands means there is a lot of windfall branches and trees to be dealt with each winter and throughout the season. We buck up and haul away small trees, branches and other unwanted green waste by the pickup truck load. 

As the threat of wildfire becomes more frequent many of our clients are choosing to have their yard waste hauled away. Rather than leaving it piled up near your home or burning it in your own yard we can dispose of it responsibly. We take our Green waste to our local landscape supply mart to be shredded down and turned into compost. Additionally we recommend our friends at Gulf Islands Irrigation as an option to provide a fire supression system for additional wildfire protection for your structures and property.

Living in the Gulf Islands means living in the forest which is one of the great things about living here. However all the large mature trees mean there is a lot of leaves and fallen tree debris to be cleaned up from gardens, lawns and driveways. We keep your property looking its best with regular cleanups year round and major leaf cleanups in autumn. We dispose of leaves in an eco friendly way by returning them to the nearby forest to decompose naturally.
